Founded by a clinician-coach with over a decade immersed in strength training, rehabilitation, and high-performance sport, ESC Performance Training blends evidence-based programming with real-world application forged through years of coaching athletes, treating musculoskeletal pain, and competing at an elite level.
Every program begins with understanding the individual—movement capacity, training history, injury profile, and life demands—before refining inputs and constructing a plan that drives measurable performance, resilience, and longevity.

Just over a year and a half ago, I was stuck in a cycle of taking one step forward and two steps backward with my training due to an ongoing back injury. Prior to working with Derek for my specific goals I was doing CrossFit classes for over 3 years. I made good progress, but I felt like I was stuck. My progression slowed and my goals weren't in sight. I kept going to class 5 days a week and started working with Derek doing 3 additional sessions a week. In 6 months time I went from doing 1 strict pull up to 5, learned how to do kipping pull ups, butterfly pull ups, chest bar pull ups, and I am really close to a bar muscle up! I also have put on over 25 LBS on my back squat and front squat! Spending time focusing on goals and weaknesses has substantially improved my fitness, confidence, and abilities.
