Tempo Runner is a long-distance running program built to improve performance in the 10K to half marathon range. The focus is on intelligently structured mileage, consistent tempo efforts, and supplemental strength and conditioning to support speed and durability.
This program develops your ability to hold faster paces for longer periods of time — the key to racing well in middle- to long-distance events. Through progressive run volume and targeted threshold work, you’ll improve aerobic capacity, pacing control, and overall efficiency.
Strength and conditioning sessions are included to reinforce proper mechanics, reduce injury risk, and build the resilience needed to sustain higher training loads.
